We are on our way!
Christmas 2013--our day of departure from New England! We have 10 days to enjoy the company of one of our daughters and her family in Georgia before the next step of journey. Our planned arrival in the Holy Land and at Saint George's College Jerusalem is the Feast of the Epiphany.

One step closer top the Holy Land!
With tons of help from the Logistics Officer at Saint George's College, we have our Visas in hand! While the new year is still very young, we will be winging our way to Tel Aviv to begin our year at Saint Georg'e College in Jerusalem. There are still lots of details to tend to here in MA before we go, but things are progressing on that front also.

Progress on the Journey to Jerusalem
Things are moving toward the Holy Land! We have a contract on the condo, lots of work is going on to get our VISA's in place, and new quarters have been found for us in Saint George;s College itself instead of the Cathedral Bell tower. We've even made our flight reservations! Who would have ever thought this a year ago?

Palestinian Palate in Hopkinton, MA
On Saturday October 12, 2013 Bishop Gayle Harris of the Diocese of Massachusetts will join the Pilgrims from the Hopkinton-Medway Collaborative Ministry to present an evening of good food, shared reflections on our April 2013 pilgrimage to the Holy Land through Saint George's College, and learning about how we can support the Diocese of jerusalem.
Tickets are $20 for adults, which cover the fabulous meal and a donation to the Diocese of Jerusalem.
We only seat 76, so let me know soon if you would like to attend (and how many guests you will have).

An April 2013 Sabbatical Pilgrimage to the Holy Land via Saint George's College and a course entitled "The Palestine of Jesus in Eastertide" has resulted in a call to be part of the college program in 2014 as chaplain. There are still details to work out, but things are beginning to fall into place for Judy and I to spend next year in a very stimulating and exciting environment.
The bell tower at Saint George's Cathedral--possibly our home for 2014.
